NATASHA COLLIS fine jewellery
Meet the goddess of small things...
Art is a verb, it's something we do...
"Art is an expression. It’s deepy personal and constantly evolving. Art is about sharing the way we see and experience the world around us."
So on that note, let me introduce you to Natasha’s world - our gem in the mediterranean sea:
The White Isle.
Entering the domain of Natasha Collis in the north of Ibiza feels precious (self-explanatory) and luxurious, yet warm and personal. Natasha is a hands on woman. A true artist, grounded and confident in who she is and what she does, which inevitably reflects in the timeless pieces she creates.
Natasha began her creative career at The Slade in London - one of the most prestigious art schools in Europe.
After studying Fine Art Painting and gaining a First, Natasha turned her unique understanding of form and colour towards the art of fine jewellery.
She was refining her craft in London for seven years before she decided to settle in Ibiza. Anybody who has met her, and seen her work, will agree that without Natasha the island would be missing a serious jewel.
In 2009 the Natasha Collis studio opened in the north of Ibiza, in one the most unique and exclusive locations I have come across.
You will not find Natasha on a crowded street with plenty of by-passers. No of course not, she has chosen the most magnificent setting to work from. Right by the church of Sant Miquel, a traditional village of white-washed houses surrounded by the turquoise sea and the vibrant, green countryside.
As you walk up the steps towards the church you’ll find her store on the little square with only a tiny traditional bar next to it.
Time seems to be standing still up here.
It’s beautiful and quiet, with spectacular views over the white rooftops of Sant Miquel and the surrounding hills. Silence only being interrupted by the ringing of church bells.
The store is within a traditional Ibicenco townhouse, more than 300 years old. It’s elegant and subtle, retaining authentic features such as wooden beamed ceilings and the original stone floor. The location, the interior and her jewellery seem to be flowing seamlessly into one divine shopping experience.
Once a Natasha Collis fan, always a Natasha Collis fan.
You can spot her signature hand-melted 18ct gold nuggets all around the globe, either purchased in Ibiza or online.
Her handmade pieces in white, yellow and rose gold are designed to be youthful but boast some truly serious gems:
Diamonds in white, black, pink, and any colour in between. Emeralds, rubies, sapphires, tourmalines and spinels.
This is Ibiza after all, one cannot escape the abundance of inspiration. To me her jewellery seems to encapsulate the essence of the island. Radiant nature and the most dazzling colours in contrast to pristine white villas and traditional villages.
I know where I'll be getting my ring made shall I ever be so lucky (I want a green diamond just so you know). Her jewellery is simply divine.
Playful, timeless & utterly elegant.
Shine baby, shine!
